Thank You Cookies

So I did it. I did the last minute self imposed 12 Christmas Project challenge. Except I couldn’t post this yesterday on Day 12 because what happens when you burn the candle at both ends completing such a challenge, is you catch a really big cold. The kind that when you stare at the screen with your eyes all the letters kind of morph into a blur.

This is my last contribution. Thank You cookies.

See, every year I make my husbands work treats and cookies for Christmas. It’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of the universe but for those individuals who work shift work, the Holidays are a bit of a different story. We’re friends with a lot of Police Officers, Firefighters, Nurses and other EMS personnel and a lot of the time while we’re all at home celebrating Christmas with our families, they’re at work missing their Christmas with their own families and helping everyone who needs it.

So if there’s someone that you want to say thank you to during this Holiday Season, now may be a good time to do so. And this is an easy but really sweet way to do so.

Gingerbread Thank You cookies - northstory

These are gingerbread cookies and I used my favourite recipe for them which is none other than Kraft Canada’s Gingerbread People one. The cookie cutters I used are the Wilton ABC & 123 cookie cutter set.

On a personal note I’d like to say Thank You for reading along this year and Thank You to all those of you who shared my projects. I also want to Thank Cityline for featuring me in this months Featured Blogger. I am immenesly flattered. It’s a bit of a full circle moment for me.

This challenge has been a great one and really made me think about the coming year on here. I plan to do a write up about it along with my goals and an end of the year wrap as soon as I can. But for the time being this girl needs some rest and vacation time to spend with her family.

Talk to you all soon!

Cheryl you are a sight for sore eyes! Literally! SO great to hear from you! I swear you make me want to get my sewing machine in the new year and try something else out. I hope you’re doing well (just saw your Greece pics and wow!!) and may you and your family have an amazing Holiday!
