Earlier this evening before I went to sit down to write this post, I sustained a ridiculous and thankfully minor neck strain. All because I went to reach for a Hello Kitty lunch bag in the dark corners of my ancient kitchen cabinets. Reaching over the bags of potatoes, rice and box of oatmeal with my left arm extended seemed so much easier at the time than say moving them all out of the way.
Several Advil’s later it’s almost midnight and I just finished editing some photos because against my better judgement of laying down and resting, editing photos somehow seemed like the better idea at the time. I am regretting it right about…where’s the ice pack now.
I had initially planned on writing up the whole step by step playbook of what I did to make these gift wrap ideas for Valentine’s Day. Then I remembered Valentine’s Day is 3 days away and in Blog Land that means I should have had this post up the day after Christmas. That and they’re pretty self explanatory. So I am taking this neck strain as my official Valentine’s Day crafted out moment for this year. I am done. Finished. No more.
I obviously did not learn when I strained my lower back making my felt Christmas cards. If there is an award for the preventable injuries sustained while crafting, hand it over.
Oh and the last card craft for this season that I never showed? That’s been converted to a non-Valentine’s Day card craft. Funny how you can do that with blog posts. Oh it has a heart on it, I haven’t posted about it yet and Valentine’s Day has passed? Fun Birthday cards it is!
Maybe by next week I’ll have finally gotten the laundry folded enough to actually show you all the changes we’ve done in our basement decor after the basement renovation. But that also requires me cleaning it and having a full on war with the toys all over the floor that seem to be that Febreze toy bin commercial come to life every damn day. We’ll see. That’s my goal. And you’re witnessing how awesome I am with blog goals and deadlines for Holidays. Don’t tell any sponsor I work with. Shhhhh…
In the meantime if you have candy, chocolates, home baked treats or gift cards to the liquor store, get them out of their packaging and into something else.
Say a plain kraft paper box.
And then maybe try one of these gift wrap ideas.
Is it Easter yet?
Oy. Easter. My craft nemesis.
But that’s another post…
